Q & A

Q:

Was there a specific incident in your life that made it clear you were made for this career?

As a Division One college athlete, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career that would surround me with talented teammates and clients who would push me to continually improve and challenge myself. My college sports experience also taught me that I relish the stimulation of competing for strong results on behalf of the clients and colleagues I work with.

What should your clients know the most about you?

I hope clients know how much I enjoy working with them. I feel their successes and challenges as I would my own, and I am thrilled when I can add value to their financial lives. I am a fifth-generation member of a wonderfully diverse, complex family and I have been on several boards, so there is no challenge that scares me off. Bring it on!

What do you do in your personal life that helps you help your clients?

I am an entrepreneur and a board member of public and private companies, so I have a deep understanding of the issues that are facing executives and investors. This allows me to help clients manage risks, evaluate opportunities, and thoughtfully integrate their current activities with their long-term financial goals. I am also a co-founding board member and former Board Chair of the largest global association for women in financial services, which has vastly expanded my perspective and network.

How would you describe your best day doing what you do?

My best day would end with a client taking a deep, peaceful exhale after we have worked together to feel better about one of the most important aspects of their lives: their financial outlook.
