Scott is a Principal in the New York office, where he is responsible for adopting, implementing, and reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of written policies and procedures designed to prevent violations of the Advisers Act. He is actively involved in all facets of the office, allowing him to reduce the firm’s regulatory risk by effectively delivering strategy, risk management, operations, and technology expertise from a compliance perspective. Scott’s principal role is protecting clients and ensuring their best interests are put first by eliminating conflicts of interest and staying abreast of an ever-changing and evolving regulatory environment.
Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Scott served as the Chief Compliance Officer at AJ Wealth, a New York-based registered investment advisor specializing in providing family office services. As CCO, Scott oversaw compliance for the firm, ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
