Cerity Partners Merges with Gilbert & Cook, Building on More Than 30 Years Serving Clients and Families in Iowa
Forbes recently published an article on private markets featuring commentary by Partners Christopher Burrows and Salvatore Russo. Below is an excerpt:
Traditional stock investors are starting to feel left out of the U.S. economy’s highest-growth investment opportunities.
In the past, cutting-edge companies often accessed the public markets much earlier in their growth trajectory. Today, Christopher Burrows, a partner with Cerity Partners, says investors may have to wait longer to access many of those same growth opportunities because companies are staying private longer.
As options in public markets shrink, investors are flocking to private markets. U.S. private funds held nearly $27 trillion last year, up from $10 trillion just 10 years ago, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
