John Bowlin

John Bowlin is currently an advisor to Gryphon Investors, Inc.

In 2003, John retired as President and Chief Executive Officer at Miller Brewing Company. Previously he has held senior positions at Kraft Inc, and Philip Morris Companies, Inc. including President /CEO of Kraft Foods International, President/COO of Kraft Foods North America, President and COO of Miller Brewing Co., President of Oscar Mayer Foods Co. and EVP of General Foods Corporation.

Mr. Bowlin serves as a Director and Vice Chairman of the Special Operations Fund. He has had broad exposure to Corporate and not-for-profit boards including, among others, as a director of Generac Power Systems Inc. and non-executive Chairman of both Vitamin Shoppe Inc and Spectrum Brands.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Graduate School of Business.
