Martin Sullivan

Martin Sullivan has over forty-five years’ experience in insurance and financial services and is an operating partner at Lightyear Capital LLC. He also serves on the board of Lightyear’s portfolio companies, Datalot, Ed Broking Group Ltd, Cerity Partners, and Ygrene Energy Fund, in addition to being Chairman of Navigators Underwriting Agency Ltd. and Navigators International Insurance Company. He spent thirty-seven years with AIG Inc. (1971-2008), holding a number of management positions of increasing responsibility in London, Dublin, and New York, latterly as President and Chief Executive Officer. In 2010, he joined Willis Group Holdings Plc as Deputy Chairman and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Willis Global Solutions. He was the first President of British American Business and remains an Honorary Director. He is also a former President of the Geneva Association and Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council. In addition to being an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Martin was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2007 and an honorary doctorate from Hofstra University in 2008.
