Michael Barry

Michael is a Partner and member of the firm’s Executive Committee based in New York City. He is responsible for driving the firm’s incremental organic growth strategy, initiatives, and execution. He has over 25 years of experience in wealth management and corporate employee financial benefits.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Michael was Managing Director and Head of Workplace Wealth Solutions within the Global Wealth Management business at UBS, serving approximately 10,000 corporate relationships and 2 million global participants in the areas of equity compensation, retirement and financial well-being programs. Before UBS, Michael led the fixed income securities and active trader platforms within Fidelity Investments retail brokerage business. Earlier in his career, he served as a staff attorney at the Ayco Company (now, Goldman Sachs) and held leadership positions within Citigroup and Smith Barney’s corporate client businesses in the US and internationally.

Michael serves on the board of Nasdaq Private Markets and is also a strategic advisor to financial technology companies, Candidly and Wealthlane. He is a graduate of New York Law School (J.D.) and Saint Peter’s University (B.S., Accounting)
