Will Peng

Will Peng is an entrepreneur, executive, and product leader joining Cerity Partners as Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, he focuses on firmwide strategy to innovate the firm’s platform, connect cross-functional experience across the business, apply AI to build scalable workflows and capabilities, and strengthen the experience of clients, advisors, and colleagues as the firm continues to grow.

Previously, Will was Founder and CEO of Northstar, a fintech company focused on helping more people access high-quality financial advice. The company built an employee financial wellness and advisory platform, partnering with leading employers including Workday, Airbnb, and Affirm. Northstar was an early pioneer in agentic AI and personalized financial guidance, and was acquired in 2025.

Before founding Northstar, Will was a Partner at Red Swan, an early-stage venture capital firm whose portfolio included Coinbase, Guideline, Hinge, Oscar Health, and Warby Parker. He is also an active advisor and investor to technology companies and executives.

He holds a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University.
