Biography

Beth is a Partner and leads Cerity Partners Ventures’ food & agriculture sector practice, focusing on innovation from the farm to the grocery aisles.

Previously, Beth was a Managing Director at Touchdown Ventures, which pioneered “venture capital as a service” by partnering with leading corporations to manage their venture capital programs. Beth joined Touchdown in 2019 after working with the team for three years while leading the investment program at Twentieth Century Fox (TCF). She spent 16 years at TCF focused on emerging technology. As Executive Vice President of Operations Strategy, she oversaw investments, strategic partnerships, and operational transformations. With over 20 years of corporate innovation experience, she is passionate about corporations leveraging venture programs to invest in and partner with startups.

Beth is a lifelong Californian and resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three kids.

Education

  • BA in Political Science from Stanford University
  • MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management

Highlights

  • Teaches corporate innovation as a visiting professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management
  • Serves on the board of the St. James Inn Foundation, which offers lodging to hospital outpatients or family members who have loved ones undergoing critical inpatient medical treatment in Southern California hospitals
  • Served on the board of the Sister Stella Foundation
