Biography

Brian is a Partner in the Chicago office with over 25 years of investment and corporate advisory experience across multiple industries, geographies, and asset classes. As a member of our Cerity Partners Ventures practice, he currently provides “venture capital as a service” for large corporations within healthcare as well as leads mergers and acquisitions advisory.  

Prior to joining Cerity Partners and his predecessor firm, Touchdown Ventures, Brian served as Vice President of M&A for Loop Capital Markets, where he led transaction execution across sectors such as consumer, software, healthcare, industrials, utilities and infrastructure. Brian’s public market experience includes serving as an equity analyst for Morningstar, where he covered generic and specialty pharmaceuticals, a portfolio manager for Shimpaku Capital, as well as a forensic accountant and consultant to other hedge funds and family offices. Earlier in his career, Brian was an associate with the private equity firm, RoundTable Healthcare Partners, and a senior financial analyst in the M&A group at Bear Stearns.

  • B.S. in Business Administration, with distinction, Indiana University, Bloomington, majoring in Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, and Mathematics
  • MBA from Harvard Business School
  • CPA
