Biography

Kalefe is a Senior Principal based in the Philadelphia office. He is part of the food & agriculture practice at Cerity Partners Ventures and focuses on early & growth-stage investing in ingredient technologies, value chain technologies, and innovative food & beverage brands.  

He joined Cerity Partners through the merger with Touchdown Ventures, a pioneer of “venture capital as a service” for corporations. Prior to joining Touchdown Ventures, Kalefe worked for over 10 years in the food & beverage startup ecosystem. He was a restaurant founder and worked at Bimbo Bakeries USA on their innovation team and in their corporate venture capital practice. He started his career in debt capital markets sales & trading at Bank of America and Robert Baird.

Kalefe lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two energetic sons. He enjoys running, playing pickup soccer and basketball, and volunteering.
