Biography

Harout is a Principal based in the Los Angeles office. He is part of the Industrial practice at Cerity Partners Ventures focusing on investments in supply chain, electrical vehicles, retail, industrial technology, and sustainability.  

Harout joined Cerity Partners through the merger with Touchdown Ventures, a pioneer of “venture capital as a service” for corporations. Prior to joining Touchdown Ventures, Harout combined his background in engineering and entrepreneurship to bring analytical, financial, and interpersonal acumen to Nex Cubed and Sway Ventures where he evaluated and made investments, launched businesses, led investor relations, and supported fundraising for the funds and their portfolio companies. Prior to venture capital, Harout started his career as an entrepreneur before pursuing a career in structural engineer where he eventually led a team of 40 professionals on projects up to $1B in value for BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, and Exxon Mobil.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Harout enjoys cooking and BBQing, exploring restaurants and is always up for playing team sports, especially soccer and futsal.

  • MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management
  • MS in Engineering & Construction Management from University of Southern California
  • BS in Civil Engineering from University of Southern California, concentration in Structural Engineering
