Christopher Hemstead

Chris is the Chief Operating Officer for Client Service & Development at Cerity Partners. He is a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Chris works with the Chief Revenue Officer on all areas of growth strategy, practice management, training and quality, business development and marketing, and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Chris was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he was Deputy Head of Workplace Advisory Solutions in the Asset & Wealth Management division.  In this role, he was responsible for the growth and strategic planning of the workplace business, as well as its business analytics, corporate program management, sales enablement, and strategic partnership functions. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs Ayco and Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management (formerly United Capital). And prior to that, Chris was the General Counsel of Goldman Sachs Ayco.

Chris started his career practicing law at Holland & Knight LLP (Boston office), specializing in tax credit transactions, including the syndication of affordable housing and historic rehabilitation tax credits.
