Biography

Reggie is a Senior Associate in the Chicago office. He assists Practice Management and IT in data preparation, analysis, reporting, and the design of Tableau dashboards. He has a passion for data visualization and has 3 years of experience working in various areas of databases, data analysis, and software administration.

Reggie began his career as an Analyst at Discover Financial Services. He assisted the company’s data warehouse before transitioning to building reports and dashboards for the organization utilizing AWS and Tableau, working alongside Discover’s Tableau Center of Excellence. Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Reggie assisted Discover’s Software Management department in over $1 million/year of savings on a single BPM software tool by creating a new license management process and ongoing automated reporting on efficiently purchasing and shifting licenses between users.

Reggie joined Cerity Partners as a Contractor, assisting in Business Intelligence to help build a foundation for data visualization and reporting and eventually came on board full-time.

  • Bachelor's in Computer and Information Technology Administration and Management from Purdue University

Q:

Who inspired you to pursue your career in financial management?

My sister has always been my role model and source for much of my inspiration. Seeing her passions for financial advising and accounting sparked my interest into learning more about the financial services industry and eventually deciding where to take the next steps in my career.

Was there a specific incident in your life that made it clear you were made for this career?

The combination of discovering my passion for data visualization and my personal interest/knowledge in the financial services industry made for a perfect fit on where I wanted to take my career.

Why is your work important, especially today?

The importance of data, and how firms utilize it, cannot be understated, especially in the financial services industry. Countless hours are put into securely sourcing and storing Cerity Partners data, so my specialty of creating value through insights and visualizations from that data is crucial to making the most of those efforts and resulting decision-making.
