Biography

James is a Principal in the Saratoga Springs, NY office. He is a member of the Human Capital team, providing strategic guidance and support for our Compensation, Benefits and Payroll functions. In his role he works to develop and lead the firm’s comprehensive total rewards strategy to create and maintain and comprehensive and competitive program aimed at attracting and retaining talent.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners James was the Head of US Benefits at GlobalFoundries (GF) a semiconductor manufacturer with 4,500 employees nationwide. While at GF he implemented market competitive benefit programs while maintaining a strong focus on program design and costs. Prior to joining GF, James worked on the benefits team at Ayco, Goldman Sachs and a large healthcare system in upstate New York.

In his spare time James enjoys antiquing on the weekends with his husband and their dog where they furnish not only their home but their part time vintage shop on Etsy that they have run since 2015.

Education

  • Bachelor's in Biology with a Minor in Business from The Sage Colleges
  • Master's in Health Service Administration from The Sage Colleges
