Q & A

Q:

Who inspired you to pursue your career in financial management?

My father, John. Growing up, I didn’t really know what he did for a living but always admired and looked up to him. As a young adult, I recognized the good in what he does and wanted to emulate that for myself. After college, I came home, and for the first time, I told him I wanted to work with him. He was both surprised and elated. We agreed I should paddle my own canoe for a few years and make sure I liked the industry and I could learn a bit in the outside world. Four years later, I joined forces with John and the rest is history.

What should your clients know the most about you?

I care about people and am a giver. I am always looking to help people both at work and in my personal life. I am so blessed to have the life I do, and want to give back and help others as much as I can.

What do you do in your personal life that helps you help your clients?

I coach my kids’ sports teams. Teaching athletes new concepts and dealing with their parents both on and off the field has provided me with a new level of patience as well as an appreciation for teaching others with different learning styles.

How would you describe your best day doing what you do?

My best day would be meeting with clients all day. I love the interaction with people and helping people achieve their financial goals.
