Client Advisory

Laurie is a Partner in the North Bay office, where she brings decades of knowledge in institutional and corporate finance. From her early days on the trading floor in the 1980s to underwriting M&A transactions in the telecom sector to creating one of the largest buyers of real estate credit bonds in the country, Laurie has acquired deep financial experience and firsthand insight into the inner workings of Wall Street.

As much as the work on the institutional side was fast-paced and exciting, Laurie knew she wanted to use her skills to make a real difference for real people. So, she made the transition to personal finance and immediately felt the connection she’d been missing.

Laurie loves that by working side-by-side with her clients, she can truly make a measurable impact. She guides her clients through complex life transitions and provides them with solutions that support their goals and elevate their lives. Laurie is driven to help women maximize their financial potential during major life transitions, including divorce, retirement, caring for loved ones, and career change. She takes great pride in giving women the resources, support, and guidance they need to thrive financially.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Laurie served as a Partner at Lumina Financial Consultants, a firm providing financial planning and wealth management services specifically focused on women and their families. Laurie also founded New Leaf Financial Advisory, a provider of divorce-related financial analysis and planning services. Prior experience also includes time spent at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Redwood Trust, Barclays Capital, Bankers Trust, and J.P. Morgan.
