Joseph is a Partner and the Practice Leader of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Joe was the President and CEO of XPYRIA Investment Advisors.​

Joseph engages with clients in comprehensive financial planning that integrates global investment management, estate planning, tax, insurance, and family dynamics. His passion is helping clients organize their financial lives to understand their financial situations, available options, and the financial decisions that need to be made for them to live their best lives. As a fiduciary, Joseph has used his financial insight and experience to advocate for his clients for over 30 years.​

In addition, Joe has decades of experience as an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO), helping institutional clients manage risk while maximizing the growth necessary to fulfill their organizational missions. Joseph works with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, nonprofit [501(C)(3)] organizations, union accounts, Taft-Hartley plans, and government entities.​
