Pierre is a Partner at Cerity Partners based in the firm’s New York City office. He is passionate about helping clients live wisely with their wealth, invest thoughtfully, operate their family offices, build their businesses and philanthropic endeavors, and project their wealth forward to their descendants and the communities in which they live.

Pierre has spent more than 25 years founding, investing in, and providing strategic growth advice to early-stage and middle-market companies, including family-owned businesses. He advises individuals and families regarding both their businesses, personal, and family assets, whether financial or non-financial, including the development of their individual and family capital.

Before joining Cerity Partners, Pierre was at Two Sigma Investments, a diversified hedge fund with $50 billion under management across global equities, currencies, and commodities. At Two Sigma he was responsible for clean-energy investing, VC investing and Chinese private equity investing with Two Sigma’s proprietary capital. Pierre was responsible for Two Sigma’s Asia/Pacific business development and investor relations.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and spent much of the 1980s as a software developer and support engineer focused on data analysis for manufacturing companies. He is an expert in AI, expert systems, computational linguistics, and what is called “big data” today. In the 1990s, Pierre co-founded several software companies, taking one public in 1993.

Pierre is on the Management Committee of the New York Alternatives Investment Roundtable and a member of The Economic Club of New York. He is a Mentor at the Smith Family-Business Initiative at Cornell and at the Princeton Entrepreneurship Council. Pierre also serves on the board of the International Foundation for Art Research, the North Haven Casino Yacht Club, where he is also treasurer, and the Pete duPont Freedom Foundation.
