Q & A

Why is tax planning important, especially today?

Like the famous proverb says, the only permanent things in life are death and taxes. Taxes also affect almost every aspect of a person’s life, and lack of planning and poor advice can have a devastating effect. The federal and state tax laws are extremely complex and get more challenging every day. It is very important to have an expert help you navigate this complex landscape.

What does the world need now more than anything?

Kindness, caring and attention to climate issues.

How would you describe your best day doing what you do?

When I can make a difference – large or small – whether its saving a client $50 on a phone bill, or finding a way to save a meaningful amount on their taxes, or working out a better monetary settlement for my divorce client. When I can help a colleague with a question they were struggling with. When I am able to get done in two days what has taken my client previously two months, and get their problem resolved. And, getting a few things done off my to-do list.

Who inspired you to pursue your career in wealth management?

I had a great mentor in college who influenced my decision to go into the financial management field. Now I am inspired every day by my talented colleagues.
