Biography

Brandon is a Principal in the Bloomfield Hills, MI office. He serves the firm in the investment management of client assets through the global markets, together with advising on portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and conducting investment manager due diligence and macroeconomic research.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Brandon served as an Investment Analyst with a boutique, third-generation investment advisory firm in Birmingham, MI. He was responsible for the investment analysis of alternative asset strategies, manager due diligence, market research, and advising affluent investors and strategic partners on advanced financial planning techniques.

Who inspired you to pursue your career in financial management?

Why is your work important, especially today?

In today’s day and age of constant news flow and sound bites it’s important to have a differentiated, unbiased view of the markets and financial planning at large. We act as the ballast to our client’s ship when we enter rocky waters. We aid them in navigating the inevitable financial storms they will face and bring them to safe harbor.

What should your clients know the most about you?

My primary objective is fully understanding each client’s unique set of circumstances and every layer of their financial goals. We provide a whole team approach to meet every client’s needs and provide unparalleled client service.

What kind of clients work best for you?

Business founders/owners, C-suite executives, affluent multi-generational families, endowments and foundations.

What do you do in your personal life that helps you help your clients?

Being a lifelong student of the financial markets and treating my career as my passion, I don’t differentiate between work and my personal life because it’s what I love to do. In my personal life I am an avid chess player and voracious reader which bodes well for creativity and perspective.

How would you describe your best day doing what you do?

Solving complex problems which benefit our clients.

What does the world need now more than anything?

Delayed gratification. Patience and thoughtful planning.
