Karl O. Mills, CFA

Karl is a Partner in the Lafayette office and is responsible for managing the practice of the Lafayette team. He and the team combine decades of business and investment experience with a focused and disciplined approach to investing. This allows them to invest for and advise on the behalf of individuals and families while delivering them an exceptional level of personal service.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, he was the President and Chief Investment Officer at Jurika, Mills & Keifer. Over the past three decades, he has established a reputation for his independent and forward-looking perspective, combining top-down conceptual and strategic thinking with practical investment judgment. Before founding Jurika, Mills and Keifer in 2005, Karl was vice chairman of Jurika & Voyles, Inc., an Oakland, California based investment management firm. During his 14-year career there, he was involved in all aspects of the company’s investing and other activities and played a major role in building the firm.

In his spare time, Karl is an avid supporter of the arts.
