Q & A

Q:

Who inspired you to pursue your career in financial management?

My dad inspired me to pursue a career in wealth management. He taught me the importance of working hard and planning for the future, in particular in relation to finances.

Was there a specific incident in your life that made it clear you were made for this career?

Every time I speak to a client, hear their unique stories, and get the opportunity to help them in their financial lives it’s affirmation that I am in the right place.

Why is your work important, especially today?

The investment landscape has changed significantly over the past several decades. In many ways it’s become more transparent and democratic, but at the same time investment complexity has increased in response to shrinking alpha opportunities. It’s paramount to work with someone that understands this complexity and can help navigate changing markets so you can achieve your long-term investment goals.

What should your clients know the most about you?

That I sit on your side of the table, fully engaged with you to achieve the objectives, goals, and aspirations that you have with your wealth.

What kind of clients work best for you?

I firmly believe that just as everyone has a doctor, everyone should work with a financial advisor.

What differentiates Cerity Partners from other firms in our space?

Our people make all the difference. We are deeply committed to serving our clients objectively and fully, whether on complex financial matters or simply being a trusted partner who will support them throughout their life’s journey.

What do you do in your personal life that helps you help your clients?

Reading, and staying on top of developments in the world around us, can have a profound impact on how I chart a course for clients. Whether it be understanding the latest economic news or learning about a new piece of technology, I find it crucial to stay informed about opportunities and risks that can impact clients both in the short-term and long-term.

What does the world need now more than anything?

More people that are willing to listen, empathize, and help.
