Biography

Amita is a Partner in the New York office, managing Cerity Partners OCIO client portfolios. She is also a member of the Cerity Partners OCIO Investment Committee.

Before joining Cerity Partners, Amita was a Partner and Client Portfolio Manager at Agility, where she also served as a voting member of Agility’s Investment Committee. Prior to Agility, she was a Partner, Managing Director, and Senior Consultant at Colonial Consulting, serving as the sole investment consultant to numerous endowments, foundations, and pension plans. Amita’s earlier roles include being a Senior Consultant at Ibbotson Associates, where she developed asset allocation programs for asset management companies, insurance companies, and broker-dealers. She began her career as an Investment Consulting Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney.

  • Ph.D. in Finance from Walden University
  • M.S. in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology
  • B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago
