Q & A

Why is your work important, especially today?

Most people focus on underlying investment performance when searching for an investment partner, but without integration of personal tax planning and estate tax planning those performance returns will be greatly decreased if not structured correctly.

What should your clients know the most about you?

When working with clients I want to understand their entire picture so we can better plan around their needs and wants over time. I treat every clients situation as I would want to be treated if it were my family or my money being invested.

What kind of clients work best for you?

I work best with clients and families who are open to sharing their entire world so we can most adequately plan around their futures to achieve their goals.

What differentiates Cerity Partners from other firms in our space?

Most firms state they are a holistic advisor but they can’t deliver on that promise. While working with Cerity Partners you will not only have access to a world class investment platform, but you will have access to tax integration, insurance planning, estate planning and all planning questions that will come to you and your family.

What do you do in your personal life that helps you help your clients?

Being a husband and a father to two boys helps me understand the ups and sometimes hardships of life. As we all know you can plan for what you think is everything, but life has a funny way of keeping us on our toes.

How would you describe your best day doing what you do?

My best day doing what I do includes hearing clients tell me they appreciate the time I take to make sure they understand the WHY on how we approach their own personal/family objectives. Focusing on only one aspect of financial planning may ultimately cost you. If you haven’t integrated your net worth across all the financial planning pieces (investment, tax planning, insurance, estate planning) you are doing yourself and your family a disservice. We are here to integrate your entire plan.
