Ralph Coutant , CFA, CMT

Ralph is a Senior Principal in the Boston office.  His focus is on investment research, portfolio construction, and strategy.  He has over twenty years of experience in financial services.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Ralph was a Principal and Portfolio Manager at Matarin Capital Management. In his role, he oversaw the firm’s stock selection, risk management, and portfolio construction processes, ensuring they were applied appropriately and consistently across Matarin’s investment strategies and client portfolios.  Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Equity Analyst in the Global Quantitative Equity Team at Invesco managing over $20B in client assets.  Ralph is a passionate investor, and brings a unique skillset combining fundamental, quantitative, and technical capabilities.

In his spare time, Ralph enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams, fishing, skiing, traveling, and reading.
