Q:
How would you describe your best day doing what you do?
My best days are spent working with current and prospective clients, and with my team of talented and compassionate wealth advisors. On the best days, I spend time with my team thinking about ways to help our clients, and then I get to see that in action.
What does the world need now more than anything?
The investing public desperately needs personalized advice. Gone are the days when successful families had one trusted individual, like a personal attorney, who could give them holistic personal and business advice. Within investing, it seems like investment solutions are available everywhere, but what are in short supply are advisors willing to take the time to get to know you on a deeper level.
What kind of clients work best for you?
I enjoy working with clients interested in forming a long-term trusted relationship, which of course, must be earned. Ideal clients have a somewhat complex financial landscape, and they desire holistic advice looking at their entire picture, including not only investments, but also tax planning, estate planning and all other financial aspects.
Why is cross-border financial planning important, especially today?
The world continues to globalize, and tax and wealth management laws and structures are only getting more complicated. Internationally mobile families need a place to turn for quality advice and a trusted personal relationship.

Living overseas seems glamorous and often leads to personal and professional enrichment, but then there are the taxes. The U.S. tax system is more complicated than most and follows its taxpayers everywhere they live. Learn about what U.S. persons confront when living abroad.
