Biography

Samuel Martin is a Partner in the Los Angeles office focused on the development and servicing of the Retirement Plan Advisory practice. He provides on-site support to plan sponsors to help them understand and meet their ongoing fiduciary obligations. Sam is also a member of the Cerity Partners Retirement Plan Investment Committee facilitating ongoing investment reviews and fund lineup development for the Retirement Plan Advisory practice.

Sam began his career at Pension Architects in 2011 after graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in International Studies. He served in an operational role overseeing compliance as well as tracking and reporting of client plan operations. He pursued secondary credential programs attaining his Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist designations and is a Certified 401(k) Professional. Pension Architects merged with Cerity Partners in January 2013, and Sam continued to develop his role now serving as lead advisor to retirement plans across the country.

In his free time, Sam runs the Sunset FC soccer club based in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time with his wife and friends.
