Brett Somerville

Brett Somerville is a Principal in the Rockville MD office. He is a member of the advisory team, providing comprehensive investment management and financial advisory services for his US and international clients. Brett has over 15 years of investment management experience.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Brett served as Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee Member at Sol Capital Management where he managed diversified portfolios for high net worth domestic and international clients. Prior to Sol, Brett spent over 10 years as a Senior Equity Analyst at Cartica Management, an investment fund focused on emerging markets based in Washington DC. Brett co-led the research and diligence process for new investment opportunities and drove the engagement strategy with portfolio companies. Brett started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Global Industrials Group and an Investment Banking Associate at RBC Capital Markets.

In his spare time, Brett enjoys spending time with his three children, traveling, running, and skiing. He is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens.
