Michael Greenen , CFP®, CEPA®, CGMA®, CPA, PFS

Michael is a Senior Principal in the Wheaton office and a member of the Wealth Management team. With over 25 years of experience as a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Public Accountant, he provides comprehensive financial planning, tax planning, and business consulting services to business owners and high-net-worth individuals. Michael specializes in bringing these disciplines together into one cohesive strategy, helping clients navigate the intersection of personal wealth, business operations, and tax efficiency. He also advises business owners on exit and succession planning, drawing on his designation as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor. 

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Michael was a financial advisor at Edge Financial Advisors in Wheaton, where he worked with business and individual clients on integrated financial and tax planning engagements. Earlier in his career, Michael served as Chief Financial Officer of a midsized manufacturing firm, where he had responsibility for finance, information technology, and quality assurance programs. This operational leadership background gives him a distinctive perspective on the challenges facing business owners — not just as an outside advisor, but as someone who has sat in the seat.
