Ed Meek , CFP®

Ed Meek, CFP®, is a Partner and Practice Leader of the Wheaton office. He is a member of the Wealth Management team, providing specialized financial planning for business owners, focusing on helping them integrate their personal and professional financial goals through strategic planning and investment management. 

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Ed founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Edge Financial Advisors for over two decades, where he built a reputation for delivering high-touch financial planning and investment strategies. His extensive background in the financial services industry also includes significant leadership roles at Fidelity Investments. Notably, he was instrumental in the launch of the firm’s Private Access Group and served with distinction as a Senior Account Executive and Vice President.  

With over 30 years of experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Ed has developed a deep expertise in navigating complex retirement strategies and tax minimization. He takes a holistic approach to serving his clients, ensuring that every facet of their financial life—from business succession and risk management to personal legacy goals—is seamlessly aligned.  

In his spare time, Ed is a self-proclaimed pickleball addict. A true chow hound, he loves cooking and hunting down great meals, and he also enjoys spending time on the golf course. During the summer, Ed loves to retreat to his vacation home on Lake Michigan to relax and spend quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
