Alejandro Cardona Torres

Alejandro Cardona Torres is a Principal on the Executive Financial Counseling team within Cerity Partners’ Growth / Workplace Solutions group, specializing in turning complex equity compensation into clear, actionable strategies. Based at 99 Park Avenue in New York City, he partners with workplace executives and equity-compensated employees—and their families—to create long-term plans.

He advises on equity compensation at both public and private companies, helping clients manage concentrated stock positions and the full lifecycle of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Performance Stock Units (PSUs), Incentive Stock Options (ISOs), and Nonqualified Stock Options (NQSOs)—from grant and vesting through exercise, diversification, and tax-aware liquidation—aligning decisions with family goals and risk tolerance.

Alejandro also advises early employees and executives at private companies on tender offers, pre-IPO liquidity planning, and other liquidity events, bringing a clear decision framework that balances timing, taxes, and concentration risk.

Prior to Cerity Partners, Alejandro was a Financial Advisor and Corporate Stock Benefit Consultant in the Institutional Advisory Group at UBS Global Wealth Management, where he educated workplace participants and built holistic financial plans spanning investing, retirement and cash-flow, tax and estate, benefits and compensation, and risk management. He previously served as an Associate Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase.

Alejandro’s global perspective was shaped early as an Intern Delegate Advisor at the United Nations, supporting three UN General Assembly committees spanning economic and financial policy, budgetary issues, and legal affairs.

He holds a Master’s degree in Wealth Management (M.P.S. ’25) from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration & International Business (B.A. ’18) from Montclair State University.

Away from work, he loves to travel, follows soccer, tennis, and basketball, and is an open water–certified scuba diver. He and his fiancée live in Morristown, New Jersey.
