Biography

Richard Pentz is a Senior Principal and Wealth Advisor in the Cerity Partners Indianapolis office, where he works with high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions to design investment strategies grounded in clarity, confidence, and long-term purpose. Known for his steady, relationship-first approach, Richard helps clients cut through complexity, align capital with real-world goals, and make informed decisions across changing market environments.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning institutional asset management and wealth advisory leadership, Richard brings a disciplined yet highly personal perspective to portfolio construction. He advises across public and private markets, translating sophisticated strategies into practical, actionable plans tailored to each client’s priorities, risk tolerance, and legacy objectives.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Richard served as a Managing Director at Principal Asset Management, working alongside sophisticated institutional investors across the United States and Canada. That experience continues to shape his advisory philosophy today: combine rigorous analysis with transparent communication and always keep the client’s purpose at the center of every recommendation.
