Biography

Ms. Barkov is a Principal in the Seattle office, where she provides operational leadership across investment‑related functions, with a focus on building scalable processes, strengthening governance, and supporting consistent, high‑quality client outcomes. Ms. Barkov partners closely with institutional senior leadership, investment teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive operational effectiveness and align business processes with strategic objectives. Her work spans oversight of key operational initiatives, coordination across teams supporting OCIO and discretionary clients, and continuous improvement of workflows, controls, and service delivery models. She plays a central role in initiatives that require cross‑team collaboration, translating complex requirements into practical execution, and ensuring accountability across stakeholders. Her leadership emphasizes clarity, consistency, and long‑term sustainability.

Prior to joining Verus, Ms. Barkov worked at the Alaska State Department of Revenue in the Treasury Division, where she supported institutional investment operations and financial oversight, bringing a strong foundation in public‑sector finance, including investment accounting and performance.
