Biography

Stephen Kolaga is a Senior Principal Wealth Advisor in the Denver office. As member of Kim Curtis’ advisory team, Stephen provides comprehensive wealth management guidance to families, business owners, and organizations navigating complex financial decisions — bringing together investment strategy, tax planning, estate planning, and philanthropy into a cohesive, intentional plan.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Stephen spent over 15 years building his advisory practice across the wealth management industry. Beginning in direct client advisory work, he went on to deepen his focus on comprehensive planning at TIAA, where he honed his experience in complex case analysis spanning tax, estate, and philanthropic strategies. He holds a BA and MA in Philosophy from Arizona State University and has earned the CFP®, ChFC®, and CAP® designations — a combination that reflects both his analytical mindset and his commitment to rigorous, client-centered planning.

In his spare time, Stephen can be found on a trail run, at a live show, or tracking down a great cup of coffee. He’s an avid reader who values time outdoors with family and is building an ambitious list of travel destinations he plans to get to.
