Michael B. Allmon , CPA, MBT

Michael B. Allmon is a Partner in the Torrance office. He is a member of the Wealth Management team, providing Income Tax, Estate Tax Compliance and Planning as well as overall planning for the finances of successful individuals and families.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Mike was the founding partner of Allmon, DiBernardo, CPAs & Wealth Strategists, LLP. He founded the organization in 1988 (at that time, Michael B. Allmon & Associates, CPAs, LLP, and later Michael DiBernardo, CPA joined him as a partner in “Allmon, DiBernardo”). Earlier in his career he held executive and managerial positions at Laventhol & Horwath, CPAs (the 5th largest CPA firm in Los Angeles at the time) and served as Partner in Charge of Tax and Personal Financial Consulting Services for Zusman, Cameron & Allmon, CPAs. He has been active in the California Society of CPAs since the 1980s (member of their Board of Directors, he also created the largest committee of CPAs in the country – Estate Planning Committees, both Los Angeles chapter as well as the statewide committee. Mr. Allmon also created a Mentoring Committee and was a member of the Taxation Committee, the Financial Planning Committee and others). He has authored over 50 professional publications with two of them being nationally recognized, one as legal authority. Mr. Allmon is one of few recipients of the “CalCPA Saul Braverman Award” (selected from over 40,000 CPAs).

In his spare time, Mr. Allmon enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and granddaughter in Manhattan Beach, where he has lived for decades. His activities include running (he created the longest standing running club in Manhattan Beach) and coaching runners, cooking as a grill chef (pitmaster), former Club Soccer Coach and former “gentleman farmer”.
