Blake Holtmeier, CFA

Blake is a Senior Associate in the West Des Moines, Iowa office. He plays a key role in supporting the investment strategies that help clients achieve their long-term financial goals.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Blake served as a Senior Investment Analyst at Gilbert & Cook, where he worked alongside the firm’s Investment Team to design, implement, and monitor sophisticated portfolio strategies — helping ensure each client’s investments are aligned with their broader financial plan.

Blake brings both technical experience and a strong client-focused perspective to his role. In addition to analyzing asset allocations and evaluating portfolio positioning, he is known for his ability to clearly communicate complex investment concepts in client meetings. His approachable style and thoughtful explanations help clients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their investment decisions — especially during periods of market uncertainty.

Since entering the investment industry after graduating from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Blake has remained committed to disciplined analysis and continuous improvement. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation, reflecting his dedication to the highest standards of investment management and ethical practice.

During his time at Nebraska, Blake was also a member of the football team and was recognized for his commitment to service and community involvement as a member of the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team — an experience that continues to influence his team-oriented mindset and values-driven approach today.

Blake and his family live in West Des Moines. Together they enjoy spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, and staying active.

Blake is an avid golfer and enjoys opportunities to connect with friends and family both on and off the course.
