Debbie is a Senior Associate in the West Des Moines, Iowa office. She plays a key role in supporting the people and culture that drives client experience.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Debbie served in Human Resources & Business Support at Gilbert & Cook, where she partnered closely with firm leadership to develop and implement strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Debbie is passionate about building strong professional relationships and creating an environment where individuals and teams can thrive. Her work includes developing and administering HR programs, aligning performance management with strategic goals, and fostering growth opportunities that support both personal and professional development. She believes that when a team is supported, engaged, and aligned, it directly enhances the experience and outcomes for clients.

At Gilbert & Cook, Debbie brought a thoughtful, people-first approach to her role. Her background in retail management provided a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and team development — skills she continues to apply in building a collaborative and high-performing culture.

A lifelong Iowa native, Debbie lives in Des Moines with her family. She enjoys traveling internationally, exploring the local community — especially the downtown farmers market — staying active outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
