Tom Karsten

Tom is a Partner and Practice Leader for the Texas and Colorado office. He is a member of the firm’s National Partner Development Committee. Tom has spent nearly three decades developing strategies and solutions for families with a focus on how they can better pass on their family history, life lessons, and values to future generations and ensure their legacy. He stays current on family and wealth strategy topics and is a recognized industry leader, with appearances on CNBC, Fox Business as well as other national stations and publications.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Tom served as President and Chief Investment Officer of Karsten Advisors for 9 years. He previously spent 19 years as an advisor with H.D. Vest Financial Services and served on the President’s Advisory Board. Tom helped to develop and implement the firm’s Elite Academy, a program that trains and mentors young professionals about legacy planning. The program is still used today, many years after his departure.
