Thomas Decker , CFP®, CEPA®, CPWA®

Tom is a Senior Principal in our New York office with over twelve years of wealth management experience. He provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management services (both public and private markets) to high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. Tom also co-leads portfolio construction, business development and marketing efforts, and client relationship services.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Tom was a Relationship Manager and Wealth Planner for over seven years at Douglas Lane & Associates LLC, a registered investment advisor in New York. Tom provided a variety of services to high-net worth-individuals and families including comprehensive financial plan delivery, portfolio management services and overall client relationship support. Prior to Douglas Lane, Tom worked at Morgan Stanley as a registered client service associate in wealth management where he handled day-to-day client relationship needs, client onboarding, and trading services.

Tom holds a Certified Financial Planner® designation through the College of Financial Planning, the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation through the Chicago Booth certification program, and the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® designation completed through the Exit Planning Institute.
