David is the firm’s Chief Marketing Officer and a Partner based in our San Francisco office. David is an experienced entrepreneur, full stack marketing geek, creative, and designer. He is currently obsessed with the digitization of trust at scale, the neuropsychological determinants of managing personal wealth, and systems design. David is a community builder who thrives on human connection. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Cerity Partners, David was a Partner at B|O|S where he led all growth activities for the firm including functional areas of marketing, experiential design, and business development. He was also the host of the B|O|S Perspectives Podcast. David’s experience in professional services marketing spans the length of his professional career, serving on the private client teams at Clifford Chance US LLP and later Morrison & Foerster LLP as well as operating his own marketing agency in New York.
David was the recipient of the San Francisco Business Times “OUTstanding Voices Award” in 2019. Every year, the San Francisco Business Times highlights out business leaders as notable contributors and vanguards in the cause for equal rights who exude the courage and determination necessary to tackle change both in the business community and the country as a whole. He is currently a member of the Forbes San Francisco Business Council.
David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University, graduating magna cum laude with honors in Marketing. He is the President & CEO of Modern Campfires and is a past member of the United Religions Initiative President’s Council. David is also the Curator and Organizer of TEDxSoMa where he is proudly leveraging the TEDx platform to amplify unheard and underrepresented voices in the Bay Area through the power of story.
